  • Insulation resistance tester UNI-T UT501B is a professional portable diagnostic instrument designed for inspections, electrical maintenance and routine testing of electrical installations, transformers, generators, motors, cables and household appliances.
  • The device measures insulation resistance from 0 MΩ to 5.5 GΩ with selectable DC test voltages of 250 V, 500 V and 1000 V.
  • In addition to standard insulation resistance, it measures AC voltage, low resistance from 0 to 200 Ω for continuity testing, and advanced diagnostic parameters such as polarization index (PI) and dielectric absorption (DAR).
  • The instrument is designed in strict compliance with safety standards IEC61010 and IEC61557 and features surge protection rated CAT III 600 V.
  • User comfort is enhanced by a large, clear backlit LCD with an auxiliary line for displaying the current test voltage.
  • When dangerous voltage is detected or a warning occurs, the display backlight automatically switches to red, accompanied by an audible buzzer alarm.
  • Practical features include automatic range switching, a ZERO button to null the display when measuring low resistances, and automatic discharge of circuit capacitance after testing.
  • The instrument is powered by six standard 1.5 V AA batteries and is supplied as a convenient kit with test leads and crocodile clips.
