Living room and bedroom

The difference between waking up with a sore back and getting up feeling refreshed can be surprisingly small. And it all depends on what you sleep on. Without exaggeration, your mattress is one of the most important things you have at home.

In the following paragraphs, we're excited to introduce you to the wide range of mattresses available in our e-shop. Forget about the hassle of walking around shops. Just sit back and relax – we'll help you find the right mattress in no time.

How to choose a mattress firmness in three steps:

Let's start with the most important thing. The mattress firmness plays a big role in not just the quality of your sleep, but also how long your mattress lasts. We also offer double-sided mattresses - each side has a different firmness, so you can choose a softer, medium, or harder option based on what you need right now.

1. Body weight – the key when selecting the firmness

Choosing the right mattress firmness is all about your weight. A handy recommendation table that considers the user's weight or gender will help you. Pay special attention to differences in children and the elderly. If we simplify the table, then soft mattresses are suitable for people with a lower weight and harder mattresses for those with a bit more weight.

2. Take age into account

👶 Children (1-15 years) Proper development comes first

Children's spines are constantly developing, so a mattress with medium firmness is the way to go. If a mattress is too soft, it can cause the body to sag and the spine to misalign, while one that is too hard can be uncomfortable. The ideal choice is a breathable mattress with good elasticity, without zoning (for smaller children), which supports healthy musculoskeletal development.

💡 Tip! Check out the NYX mattress from our offer with two firmnesses - medium soft and medium, which offers a great balance of comfort and stability. The Euros mattress is also a great choice for children.

🧑‍🎓 Young adults (16–30 years): Dynamics and regeneration

People in this age range often change their life rhythms - they do sports, study, work, and travel. The mattress should be versatile and durable, ideally with medium to medium-hard firmness. If they do sports often, they could appreciate a higher level of support or materials with good thermoregulation (e.g., HR foam or latex).

💡 Tip! The Pontos mattress offers 2 different firmnesses - medium and medium hard, which eliminates motion transfer, ensuring undisturbed sleep for both users. The Medicott cover protects against dust mites and bacteria, making the mattress an ideal solution for allergy sufferers.

🧑‍💼 Adults (31–60 years): Comfort vs. support

This user group often has a stable day regimen and higher demands for comfort, but also for back health. Suitable are mattresses with more firmness zones, which can distribute body weight better and relieve pressure points. Combinations of cold foam, memory foam, and spring systems are popular.

💡 Tip! The Platon mattress and Zeus mattress offer a truly comfortable sleep thanks to a layer of memory foam that adapts to the shape of the body, reduces pressure on the joints, and promotes proper muscle relaxation. It relieves pain and improves sleep quality. It is also suitable for couples - two firmness levels, soft and medium, allow everyone to choose the side that suits them the best. Thanks to the materials used, it will not wear out and will retain its properties for many years.

If you're looking for a mattress with high weight capacity, the Fobos mattress is the ideal choice. This double-sided, robust mattress was made especially for those who need firm lying down, high load capacity, and resistance to bed sores. The ventilation grid in the cover ensures perfect air circulation, so the mattress does not overheat and remains fresh.

👵 Seniors (60+ years): Softness, safety, and comfort

Older people will appreciate a mattress that will make their movements easier and relieve pain points. Ideal is from medium soft to medium firmness, often with memory foam, that adjusts to your body and relieves joints and muscles. The mattress height is also important - higher models will make waking up and lying down easier.

💡 Tip! The medium soft/medium Euros mattress offers excellent back support and is built to last. The antibacterial Aloe Vera cover with silver added naturally protects the mattress from bacteria, dust mites, and mold.

You can't go wrong with the Kratos mattress. The memory foam layer provides optimal spinal support and even pressure distribution, helping to reduce strain on the back and joints.

Anti-decubitus mattress

An anti-decubitus mattress is a special medical device designed to prevent and treat decubitus ulcers (bedsores), which occur when lying in bed for a long time without sufficient movement. Bedsores are caused by insufficient blood circulation in the tissues in places where the skin and subcutaneous tissue press against a hard surface (e.g., the sacrum, heels, shoulder blades). A properly selected anti-decubitus mattress helps prevent these problems by distributing pressure more evenly and promoting blood circulation.

💡 Tip! Our anti-decubis Notos mattress is the ideal choice - thanks to the combination of hybrid foams, anti-decubis cross-sections and different side stiffnesses, it offers exceptional ergonomics, optimal breathability and long life. It supports a healthy spine, ensures optimal muscle regeneration, and provides comfort without pressure points. It is available in several sizes

🏃 Athletes and active people: Regeneration is the key

When you're putting in a lot of physical effort during the day, sleep is essential for muscle and body regeneration. If you're an athlete, it's a great idea to look for a mattress that offers firm support and quickly adapts to your body. Consider options like those with higher foam density or pocket springs, as they provide excellent ventilation and help keep you cool at night.

💡 Tip! The Zeus mattress provides stable support while at the same time adapting to the body thanks to the innovative Watergel® foam, eliminating pressure points and preventing overheating.

3. Sleeping position – the way you lie down is how you'll sleep

Do you sleep on your belly?

Choose a mattress with medium firmness. This will provide even support for the body in a horizontal position and prevent unnatural curvature of the spine.

Do you sleep on your back?

Go for a firmer mattress. This will keep your spine in its natural alignment and support your lumbar area.

Do you sleep on your side?

This position causes uneven pressure on the shoulders, hips, and knees. Therefore, a softer to medium-hard mattress is suitable, which adapts to these areas and relieves them.

Do you switch sleeping positions?

If you change positions during the night, we recommend a medium or softer firmness mattress that will adapt to different parts of your body in different positions.

Everyday vs. occasional sleeping

A mattress designed for everyday sleep deserves your full attention – it should perfectly suit your body type and sleeping habits.

If you are choosing a mattress for a guest room or a cottage where it will be used occasionally, go for a more versatile option with a medium firmness. Such a mattress will be comfortable for the widest possible range of users.

💡 Tip! For occasional sleeping, the ideal choice will be the practical and affordable Moiry mattress or Styx mattress.

Mattress dimensions – basic rules for selection

1. Height

Regardless of other parameters, the mattress should be at least 15 cm high. This thickness provides sufficient support and protects the mattress from rapid sagging.

2. Width

✅ When choosing the width, consider the size of the bed and the space in your bedroom.

✅ If you are choosing a bed, a simple rule applies – the more space, the greater the comfort.

💑 If you already have a bed, then the crucial question is whether you sleep alone or with your significant other:

  • If you have similar body types and sleeping habits, you may be able to share a mattress. Many of our models also feature motion transfer elimination technology, which ensures a peaceful sleep without being disturbed by your partner. The ideal is the Pontos mattress
  • On the other hand, if you differ significantly in height, weight, or sleep in different positions, we recommend choosing two separate mattresses. This way, everyone can choose the option that meets their individual needs.
